Please allow me to introduce the North Carolina Colon Hydrotherapy Safety Association. The NCCHSA was formed to proactively advocate for the colon therapy practice and the clients that use our services.
The officers of the association are as follows:
President - Darlene J. Holloway, LMBT, CT, SIT
Vice President - Amy Denman, CTN, MH, Colon Therapist
Secretary - Denise Souza, Colon Therapist
Treasurer - Kim Dupre, Colon Therapist, LMBT
The NCCHSA’s goal is to promote the professional standards of the industry, and to insure that its clients receive treatment in a safe and effective manner. By seeking licensure for the colon hydrotherapists, the Association will insure the competency and educational standards of all therapists in North Carolina. Such standards will also insure the safety and best interests of each client.
The NCCHSA has retained the services of attorney Richard H. Carlton to achieve its legislative goals. Mr. Carlton is a veteran lobbyist who is well qualified to represent us, monitor legislative activity, and promote legislation sponsored by the NCCHSA. He has demonstrated a sincere interest in promoting our profession.
In order to accomplish these goals, the Association needs your assistance and active participation. Our budget for 2008 will be between $12,000 and $24,000. Dues must be collected to retain Mr. Carlton as well as pay for other expenses of the Association. To meet these costs, annual dues for 2008 are $900. As shown on the attached membership form, payment can be made in the full amount of $900.00, two payments of $450.00, or four payments of $225.00. It is anticipated that, after we are successful with our legislative efforts, annual dues will go down to $250 per year.
I know you will find licensure and membership in NCCHSA to be beneficial to you. Licensure for our profession is a necessary achievement for our practice and our clients. Please join us in this important endeavor. Working together we can make this happen.
