About Us

The North Carolina Colon Hydrotherapy Association (NCCHSA) was formed in 2007 by a group of committed therapists, endeavoring to solidify the professional standard of colon hydrotherapy and ensure the safety of all clients. The goal of the NCCHSA is to promote the professional standard of the industry and ensure clients receive services in a safe and effective manner.

The Association is currently seeking licensure to regulate this therapy for the purposes of offering continuing education for trained therapists, proper use of FDA equipment, regulating training of colon hydrotherapists, and assuring consumers the right to seek colon hydrotherapy by a trained therapist. Colon hydrotherapy is a nationally growing health and wellness therapy; licensure will protect this modality of alternative health care and provide structure and direction as the profession grows while ensuring consumers receive safe, beneficial therapy.

Our Code of Ethics

The health, welfare, and comfort of our clients are our primary concern. We will treat our clients as we would treat ourselves. We will obtain comprehensive education in colon hydrotherapy and will assist schools in maintaining the highest standard of education for this purpose. We recognize the ever-changing nature of, approach to, and attitude towards health care. We will continue our education accordingly thereby keeping abreast of all new developments and advancements in this field. We will share our knowledge and awareness with others in the colon hydrotherapy profession. We recognize the necessity of maintaining a professional relationship with healthcare practitioners in other fields and of keeping pace with the latest developments in health care. We will work as a colon hydrotherapist as our education and training allows and demands and we will not infringe upon other professions we are not qualified to practice. We honor this profession and promise to uphold these tenants.
